WELCOME TO THE NEW CITY CHURCH
The New City Church is committed to being a body of intentionally diversified people standing together at the intersections of affluence and poverty; justice and injustice; spiritual growth and spiritual 'lostness' in Birmingham's City Center. We invariably affirm to each other that the New City Church is "a Worshipping church, a Family church, a Reaching Church, and a Helping church." It's a simple statement, made up of just a few words. Yet, those thirteen words frame something very powerful --a comprehensive and exciting mission for our church. We will work in the power of the Holy Spirit to bring about reformation and revival in His Body here in Birmingham and throughout the world. We do not stand over people with propositional truth, nor do we condescend to share out of plenty. Rather, by God's grace we stand together as sinner pilgrims willing to overcome the fear of involvement because of His grace and by His grace.
As brothers and sisters in Christ we are committed to rolling up our sleeves and share in this opportunity to influence culture with the values of God's Kingdom, beginning downtown. We invite you to browse our site and it is our prayer that you will find a word that compels you to come and visit one of our services. We welcome you with opened arms and loving hearts as a people who are dedicated to the thought: Each one reach one and help one reach another.
