OUR PURPOSE:
To bring glory to God through worshipping Him; serving His people first in this congregation and then throughout His Kingdom; To win the lost to His Lorship both here and abroad; To build bridges between people separated by social, economic, racial, and generational differences; and To influence culture with the values of His Kingdom.
OUR BELIEFS:
1. That the Word of God teaches that our Lord intervenes in history to restore people to Himself and to each other.
2. That God is grieved when people are separated on the basis of wealth,race, age, education, and nationality.
3. That God continues in our time through His Holy Spirit and the visible manifestation of His Son on earth - The Church.
4. That God intervened in history through His Son Jesus Christ and brought about the redemption, reconciliation, and restoration of all things.
OUR VALUES:
WE ARE CONVINCED THAT GOD HAS CALLED US:
1. To bring Him glory through vital worship
2. To be His servants in restoring and supporting families
3. To act as His agents to bring salvation to those here, and abroad who do no know Jesus as Lord
4. To be ministers of His mercy first in this congregation and then throughout His kingdom.
5. To be His hands in tearing down walls that separate people in all walks of life
6. To work, in the power of His Spirit, to bring about reformation and revival in His Body here in Birmingham and throughout the world.
7. To inspire in each other His vision for the reformation of culture based on the values of His Kingdom.
